A lovely family in Woodham Walter, between Chelmsford and Maldon are looking for a Housekeeper nanny for a girl of 11 and boys aged 13 and 15 years of age. This is a part time, permanent and long term position. It is for 20 hours per week, possibly more in the holidays and over two or three days.
The candidate who will secure this position will be experienced in running a decent sized family home. You will work to a high standard with housekeeping and be organised and flexible. You will have worked in a similar role before. The Housekeeper Nanny will hold a current, clear DBS, a first aid certificate and be a driver with a clean licence (on duty car likely) You will have experience with older children and be a good cook, able to produce interesting meals from scratch. Most of all you will be reliable, cheerful and with a good sense of humour, making you easy to get along with.
Duties include the following: Childcare after school, the children all attend the same school and you may be asked on occasion to do the afternoon run. Ensuring that homework is up to date and that school bags are ready for the following day, containing the correct books and equipment. You will cook them a good meal as they arrive home which will also include something for your employer, too. All the children have a lot of after school activities so will have staggered arrival times at home, or you may have to collect from after school clubs etc. You will do the family and children’s washing and ironing, and a full clean of the downstairs of the house. Other help cleans the upper floors of this six bedroom house. This is not expected in one hit!
Hours are flexible on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and could roll into a Thursday, dependant on the candidate’s availability.
Salary is £12 per hour gross with a late July start in readiness for the new academic year.

The family are looking for someone with bundles of energy to keep these children on the go taking to various activities such as ballet, tap, modern, swimming, karate, horse riding and football lessons. The nanny must hold a childcare qualification, experience working with children of similar ages, hold a clean and clear driving licence with your own car for on duty use and clear DBS. You must be first aid trained. You must be organised and plan fun structured games, help both children with homework and prepare the youngest for school. Along with being a good cook providing the children with healthy nutritious meals including packed lunch’s. Usual nursery duties, some light housekeeping required.
Your duties include arriving in the morning helping with getting the children washed and breakfasted and out of the house and taken to either school or nursery. Returning after lunch to collect the little boy from pre-school and having a fun and educated afternoon before collecting his sister from school. You will have the afternoon to take the children to various after school activities, cook a nutritious evening meal, and have the children’s necessary equipment ready for school the following day, awaiting the arrival of the parents. During the school holidays, you will have both children, going on outings and play dates will be encouraged. Some shared care required for school runs and after school activities.
Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 28 hours per week, ideally 08:30-09:30 & 13:30-19:30 flexibility needed.

Duties include sole and shared care of both the older and the younger child (once arrived!) Usual nursery duties, a cleaner is kept and cooking. Taking the children out to age appropriate activities and days out, and sole charge when Mum is away for the day. Dad is often away on business and sometimes Mum is too, and some overnight stays will be required, plenty of notice will be given. There will be some evening babysitting, too.
Hours are Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00 and can be flexible.

A childcare qualification would be good, but the quality of the candidate is more important to the family as is previous experience with a special needs child as training will be given. You will have a current DBS and paediatric first aid, together with a clean driving licence (on duty car available) It is important that you are a good listener and can follow instructions well.
Duties include help with daily personal care for the little boy washing, dressing etc. Help with implementation of therapy programmes (speech, physio and occupational therapy) Full training will be given and you will work alongside Mum initially. Taking the child to therapy appointments, play dates etc. Accompanying the family on holiday to provide ongoing support. The other children will need supervision with homework and play activities. Ensuring that they all receive a nutritious tea when home from school, and during the day in the holidays, keeping bedrooms and playroom tidy, laundry of clothes and bedding for the children.
