Our Hiring Process

Every family is unique; it follows that when you need a nanny, the list of qualities you need in that nanny will be different to the next family. We will listen carefully to your requirements and give guidance where appropriate, which will enable us to match your individual needs with our registered candidates.

We will also advertise your position, to attract more high calibre applicants, who will then be interviewed and registered with us. Our experience and skill in selecting appropriate candidates will ensure that you receive details of candidates that most fit your requirements.

We will then e-mail the candidate’s CV.  If you decide to meet the nanny, we will arrange an initial interview for you, and give you some tips on how to interview her (particularly useful for families who need a nanny for the first time) We will then discuss your feedback on the candidate and arrange a second interview perhaps for the nanny to meet the children if required.  We will submit further CVs for your perusal until we have presented the candidate who you would like to make a job offer to.  We will assist with salary negotiations, and once an offer has been made, we will provide a template job offer letter for you, and the candidate’s references for you to check personally if you wish. We can also provide you with a standard template employment contract, and introduce you to a cost effective payroll company. Town & Country Nannies are dedicated to offering a first class service to families who need a nanny.  We will be there to assist and guide you throughout the process of hiring a nanny.

We can give guidance on how to keep your nanny happy at work especially in the first few weeks, and will be a source of help and information throughout her term of employment with you.  We can always, subject to availability provide temporary nanny cover for her (at additional cost) if she is on leave. We also support your nanny through her first few weeks.
